Research in Sport Science Education is a quarterly, open-access academic journal published by Farhangian University. The journal began publishing in 2019. After releasing one issue, publication was temporarily interrupted; the journal resumed its scholarly activity in 2025 (1404). Honesty and integrity in conducting research form the basis of the editorial team’s work. The journal emphasizes the prevention of research misconduct and plagiarism and follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidance for handling ethical issues, as stated in the journal policy.
If plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be rejected and the authors may be blacklisted for five years. Authors are therefore encouraged to screen their manuscripts with plagiarism-detection software prior to submission. Plagiarism includes (but is not limited to) using others’ ideas or words without proper citation, one-to-one correspondence in expressing ideas, structural similarity in writing, or attributing others’ ideas and words to oneself. Direct quotations must be enclosed in quotation marks and include the page number. If plagiarism is identified during the review process, the manuscript will be rejected; if it is identified after publication, the article will be retracted, the PDF will remain accessible, and a retraction statement will be linked to the original article, as stated in the journal policy.

The journal is committed to the permanent and secure preservation of all published articles in the Farhangian University Journal System, the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), and the National Iranian Digital Archive. Final versions of articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and stored in standard formats to ensure long-term preservation, prevent data loss, and provide stable access for researchers, as stated in the journal policy.
The journal permits authors to deposit the accepted post-print or final published version (Publisher’s PDF) of their articles in personal, institutional, or organizational repositories, provided that the full journal title, the official website link to the article, and the DOI are cited.
